Academic Calendar

The Dietetic Internship observes all regularly scheduled holidays and vacations as outlined on the University Calendar; however, the internship may start early in the first fall semester. 

Year 1 Fall Semester

Interns begin supervised practice rotations 1 week before the first day of class per the University's fall semester academic calendar. Rotations conclude at the end of finals weeks during fall semester. Classes are held on Mondays during fall semester year 1; rotations are Tue-Fri, with the exception of the Pen Court Management rotation, which is Mon-Fri.

Year 1 Winter Semester

Interns begin supervised practice rotations on the first day of class per the University's winter semester academic calendar. Rotations conclude at the end of finals week during winter semester. Classes are held on Fridays during winter semester year 1; rotations are Mon-Thu.

Year 1 Spring/Summer Terms

Interns complete classes and project work as determined in consultation with major graduate advisor.

Year 2 Fall Semester

Interns complete classes and project work as determined in consultation with major graduate advisor. Some supervised practice rotations, that do not conflict with course work, may be required.

Year 2 Winter Semester

Interns complete classes and project work as determined in consultation with major graduate advisor.
