Dual Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry (DXA)

State of the art equipment to measure body composition (bone; muscle and organ; and fat) and bone density (hip, spine, wrist, or whole body).

Indirect Calorimetry

Measurement of resting metabolic rate (calories required for the body at rest).

Anthropometry

  • Bioelectrical impedance analyzer
  • Height, weight of adults, children, and infants
  • Skin fold calipers

Biochemical

Lipid profiles, hemoglobin, hematocrit, blood glucose, urine analyses

Facilities & Services

Chromatography Facility

The College of Life Sciences has established a Chromatography Facility for the use of researchers who do not have access to or expertise in chromatographic analyses.
