Biography

Dr. Karen Della Corte has an international research background in Public Health Nutrition. She completed a post-doctorate fellowship through the University of Sydney in June 2023, a Doctorate of Science in Public Health Nutrition at Paderborn University in 2021, and a Master of Science in Human Nutrition at the University of Bonn in 2018. She lives in Provo with her husband and their four children.

Research Interests

Nutritional epidemiological research relating to how dietary and lifestyle factors influence risk markers for disease development through analysis of data from prospective cohort studies.

Investigation of carbohydrate intake trends and shifts in carbohydrate quality over recent decades both in the U.S. and internationally.

Conducting of systematic reviews and meta-analyses to summarize diet/disease associations - currently that of sugar intake and type 2 diabetes incidence.
