Food Processing class
In the Food Processing class, small groups of students tour many different food processing facilities. In recent years, the list has included: Malt-O-Meal, OSI Group, Nestle-Stouffer's, Cookie Tree Bakeries...and many more.

As part of their capstone, all BYU Food Science seniors participate in a product development class. In this class, students work directly with clients from all genres of the food industry to create new products to then be further developed in a real-life company.

In their Food Microbiology class, BYU Food Science students work with clients from different food companies to improve safety, sensory and shelf-life aspects of their products, as related to microbiology.
