Estimated Program Expenses
Estimated Expenses are correct at time of handbook publication (spring each year). All expenses subject to change. A more comprehensive expense list is found in the intern handbook.
Tuition
- Graduate LDS Tuition Full-time: $4,048 per semester, $2,024 per term
- Graduate LDS Tuition Part-time: $480 per credit
- Graduate Non-LDS Tuition Full-time: $8,168 per semester, $4,084 per term
- Graduate Non- LDS Tuition Part-time: $960 per credit

Insurance
- Health Insurance $324-1,806 per semester. Interns must have either private or BYU health insurance. More information about Health Insurance is found in the DMBA Student Handbook.
- Professional liability. Students enrolled in the BYU internship courses will be covered by the BYU students insurance policy (no addition fee to student).
- Automobile insurance cost varies. Interns assume liability for travel.

Room, Board, Personal, Travel

- Transportation $3,072 Interns are responsible for transport to and from supervised practice sites in Utah, Salt Lake, Davis, and Weber counties. Discounted public transit passes are available through BYU.
- Conference fees and travel UAND $100 (required attendance)
- Conference fees and travel FNCE $1,000-1,800 (optional attendance); scholarships may be available

Membership and RDN Exam
- Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Membership: $58 students
- RDN Examination Fee: $200 (after completion of internship and degree)
Employment
Due to the time commitment involved with the Dietetic Internship, outside employment may be difficult. Interns may be employed as long as the hours do not conflict with supervised practice rotations and classes. Some teaching and research assistant positions may be available.
Financial Aid
Scholarships and Stipends
- Interns may apply for an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Scholarship.
- College and Department Scholarships and Grants are available for dietetic interns. More information is available from the College of Life Science "get Funding" section.
- Department graduate stipends may be available. Information will be provided by the department Graduate Coordinate each semester.
Loans
- Students may qualify for loans and grants. Information on loans and/or loan deferment is available through the BYU Financial Aid Office.
